TNC Series TNC connectors are 50 ohm precision connectors designed to perform mode free to 12.4 GHz. TNC connectors are medium sized and commonly used for microwave and RF applications requiring higher average/peak power handling and good electrical performance. The standard TNC interface utilizes an overlapping PTFE (Teflon) dielectric for increased voltage breakdown resistance. PCI also offers TNCA extended frequency connectors that perform mode free through 18 GHz, but without the overlapping PTFE interface or increased voltage handling characteristics. PCI provides both TNC & TNCA connectors for semi-rigid, low loss flexible cable, receptacles and precision adapters which may be adapted for custom applications.
