N Series N connectors are 50 ohm precision connectors designed to perform mode free to 11 GHz. Larger than the TNC series, N connectors are a popular medium sized option commonly used in microwave and RF applications that require high power handling and good electrical performance. Precision N (PN) extended frequency versions are available for performance through 18GHz. The standard PCI Type N connector interface utilizes an air dielectric and PTFE (Teflon) support dielectric beyond the interface region while some options may employ a single precision (7mm) support bead. PCI offers N connectors for semi-rigid and low loss flexible cable, receptacles and precision adapters which may be adapted for custom applications.
